Makarska is a central tourist destination in Central Dalmatia and  Makarska Riviera extends from Brela on the west to Gradac on the east. Some of the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic coast can be found in Brela, a small, but well-known, tourist resort situated in the western part of Makarska Riviera.

One of the most beautiful beaches in Brela, approximately 900 m long, is called Dugi rat. On this beach you can see a natural phenomenon – big rock which protrudes out of the sea, which many call the little island of love.

Makarska Riviera is especially recognized for its pebble beaches and crystal clear sea. This nature's gift, which is also the main advantage of the region, every year attracts thousands of visitors from around the world.

Like Brela, Tučepi is equally attractive and here you can find excellent accommodation offer. Tučepi is a small place just a few kilometres from Makarska. From a small fishing village, Tučepi has evolved into a very important tourist destination. It is best known for the longest beach on Makarska Riviera, which extends over 3 km, and it is becoming desirable destination even for younger population because of its attractive beach bars and night parties.

In the immediate vicinity of hotels there are nine open and two enclosed tennis courts, as well as indoor and outdoor swimming pool.   When we talk about Makarska and its beauties, Biokovo mountain has to be mentioned. This mountain represents a challenge for hikers and all those who love all forms of active tourism. Makarska offers half-day and one-day mountain tours to Biokovo's highest peak St. Jure (1762). Architecture and history lovers will be interested in stone houses and village estates that can be found on Biokovo mountain.

Excursions to the surrounding islands of Brač and Hvar are organized daily. Each year there are more and more tourists interested in these one-day excursions since they provide the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.   The longest island on the Adriatic coast is Hvar. It can be reached by boat from port in Makarska and is famous for its small cities and places, as well as for its traditional inland villages.

On the island of Hvar you will find a very developed nautical tourism, cyclotouristic routes, rich night-life and exceptional cuisine. Walking through the narrow cobblestone alleys of Stari grad (called kale) is a unique experience, because no matter which direction you choose, you will be immersed into a tangle of streets, where time seems to be stopped. This city is 2396 years old and is an attractive tourist area.

There is a complex of hotels and bungalows with various sport and recreational facilities, in the immediate vicinity of the sea and pine forest. Helios Faros is the only hotel company in Stari grad. The city of Hvar is like a monument in itself. Monuments within monuments, and monument upon monument. We advise you to visit the theatre (the oldest public theatre in Europe), the Fortica fortress, Hvar cathedral and the Franciscan monastery. However, Hvar is not only monuments. Pakleni islands, mild climate, beautiful bays and high quality accommodation make Hvar an ideal holiday destination.

Brač is one of the most attractive tourist destination. Zlatni rat in Bol is considered by many to be the most beautiful beach in Europe today. Surrrounded by sea and cliffs, this city is a wonderful blend of history and culture. Its mild climate and more than  2,700 hours of sunshine per year are some of the reasons for growing number of visitors each year. Port, hotel and tourist facilities are constantly being upgraded. Split is also a transport centre with travel and commercial port, train station and international airport.
